Having Gabby as your coach, anytime, anywhere
When Gabby’s team first approached us, her huge digital community was primarily managed through her website. They knew an app could enhance the experience, but there were uncertainties regarding features, interactions, and flows. With such a passionate audience, the challenge was clear: deliver Gabby’s spiritual guidance and coaching content in the most digestible, intuitive, and compelling way possible.
Accessible, easy, yet fully equipped, and overall meaningful
From the start, Gabby’s team wanted an app that felt simple and welcoming. The goal was to ensure that users didn’t feel overwhelmed — instead, the app “takes them by the hand” and guides them seamlessly through daily practices.
Our first step was to prioritize features and simplify the user's interaction with the app
Through continuous conversations and experimentation, we identified what truly resonated:
- A weekly meditation with Gabby’s voice
- Daily affirmations, a digital version of Gabby's card decks
- Journaling prompts
- Structured coaching lessons and challenges
We also refined their initial branding, shifting the palette from bold red to a softer aquamarine and creating a more rounded, warm visual identity.

Building for scale and constant evolution
From a technical perspective, this project has been as dynamic as Gabby’s own vision and community. With over 40,000 daily active users, every update requires careful consideration, as small changes in logic can impact multiple flows simultaneously. To meet this challenge, our engineering team built a robust React Native app with a Django backend, ensuring stability, scalability, and fast performance under high demand.

Since launch, the Gabby Coaching App has grown into a platform with tens of thousands of subscribers and a thriving community of engaged users. It has powered over 200 daily affirmations, as well as hosted exclusive meditations, daily practices, and talks.
Most importantly, it has become a daily ritual for thousands of people who seek motivation, meditation, and mindful practices guided by Gabby’s voice.
And the journey is far from over. With upcoming features like AI-powered content recommendations and enhanced search, the Gabby Coaching App continues to embody what Z1 does best: creating human-centered digital products built to grow and have a positive impact on every user.

Excellent experience with the app!
I have been listening to the Dear Gabby podcast for a number of months and I am a super-fan of Gabby’s work, so I decided to try her coaching app. I am only half-way through the 7-Day free trial and I find the app has a very complete representation of Gabby’s work. For me, I have found the structure of the app to be extremely useful in enhancing my existing practices and encouraging in establishing new ones that opened new possibilities for my journey. Gorgeous. As good as anything Gabby has ever put out.
Quite genuinely, I found this app to so simply and beautiful designed, and so much better than expected. I anticipated your sort of typical app, navigating down menus of different recorded meditations. You open the app, and it’s this gorgeous affirmation right in front of you. It sets the tone. Every week, the teachings are laid out for you, and this is where I wasn’t expecting Gabby to have legit lessons that are easily digestible. I feel so supported every time I open the app, and I feel almost silly writing that
